Sanfred Koltun, 90, beloved husband of Nancy Koltun, née Fink, happily married for over 69 years; loving father of Kathryn (Timothy Baker) Koltun, Elizabeth Koltun and Thomas (Susan) Koltun; cherished Papa of Justin Inness-Brown, Ariana Inness-Brown (fiancé Jon Norris), Emma Koltun-Baker, Max Koltun, Adam (Bricelyn) Koltun, Anita Koltun (fiancé Liam Wolfram) and Lily Koltun; dear brother of Leila (the late Richard) Kleiman and brother-in-law of Fred Rothenberg; preceded in death by his sister Ila Rothenberg; treasured uncle to several nieces and nephews. Sanfred loved the arts and sponsored many events at the Chicago Symphony, Joffrey Ballet and Lyric Opera. He was a supporter of the Art Institute and a past Board Member at the MCA. He had a great sense of humor and always considered himself to be lucky in life, be it in business or in everyday situations. As CEO of Kolcraft Enterprises, Inc., he grew a small crib mattress and pad business into a leading children’s product company. He will most be remembered for his story telling. He loved telling stories from interesting encounters he had, to building his business and unusual situations he would find himself in. He was very generous to his family and friends and would always be there to lend a helping hand in time of need.
