Obituary

Stanley Kantor, DDS, 87, passed away on April 28, 2024. Beloved husband and best friend of Audrey (nee' Cheris) for 65 wonderful years; loving father of Randall, Shari (Chip) Pew and Julie (Scott) Gertz; cherished "Bubba" of Jake, Dan (Kristin), Sophie and Joey Gertz; much loved brother of Myron (Carol) and much loved brother in-law of Albert Cheris; dear uncle and friend of everyone. Dr Kantor was a dedicated dentist for 40 years. He taught at the Loyola Dental School for 10 years and for over 15 years he was part of the University of Chicago Basic Education Program. Dr Kantor loved the Opera and traveling the world with his beloved wife Audrey. Above all his greatest love was spending time with his family; he will be dearly missed. Memorial donations in his honor may be made to the Lyric Opera of Chicago, www.lyricopera.org/support-lyric/donate or Children of Fallen Patriots, www.fallenpatriots.org/donate. Private graveside service, Wednesday, May 1, 2024; 10 AM at Shalom Memorial Park 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights.
